It seems as if I've received a disproportionately large number of requests lately to submit specific works of mine to groups that appear to me to be fetish-oriented, in the sense that the group focuses on a particular body part or grooming style.  A focus on a particular aspect of the models' anatomy feels uncomfortable to me, mainly because most of these groups seem to be based on the fetish, as opposed to any underlying artistic value that a particular photograph or collection of photographs may or may not have.

I've been turning down any request to submit work to a group that feels "wrong" to me.  The models I've shot are all professional, in the sense that modeling is their primary source of income, at least it was at the time I worked with them, and they are big girls - they know there is a certain component of the overall audience that is not viewing their work for the "art."  That being the case, I still don't want to be an active cog in the machinery that is supplying wanking material to the wankers.  I try to look at it from a model's point of view: would a model want their work displayed in "The Itty-Bitty Titty Club", "Baldy-Beavers", "Luvs-Da-Feet" or "I Like Big Butts and I Cannot Lie" groups? (Note: these are not real groups on DA, at least not ones I've actually seen, but I've seen others similar in theme and execution to these concepts; I don't want to single out any one group here in this discussion.)

Am I being just a bit too persnickety here?  I'd love to hear others' thoughts on this.

PS - I take this issue on a case by case basis.  There is one DA group that I do allow my work to be displayed in that some might argue is fetish oriented, but its implementation is precisely not.  Even so, I did have a conversation about it with one of the models I'd shot before I allowed any of my work to be displayed there.

Photographers - please feel free to comment critically on my technical execution: your input is the best way for me to learn. If you see something that I could be doing better, please point it out. I've gotten some excellent feedback from several photographers here on DA, and I'm always interested in hearing more.

Now, a couple of guidelines for folks who are not artists:

The photographs I post here are the result of interaction with professional art nude models. I do not post these photos for your gratification, and, frankly, I'm not interested in your comments regarding the models' bodies, body parts, or grooming habits. If you have a comment about the photography, please make it. If you're inclined to post a comment about the models' breasts, nipples, pubic hair, feet, etc. (as examples, this is not an all inclusive list), please don't. I'll delete it anyway, the moment I see it, and you'll be blocked, which means you will lose any "favorite" tags you've placed on any of my photos.

My art nude photography has become a very expensive hobby as I get more and more into it. DA users with empty galleries, please note: if you fave large numbers of my pics, I will ask for a points donation - this will help to keep the photos flowing. If you go overboard with favorites or comments, and your gallery is populated entirely with web-finds, or your favorites gallery is filled with what I consider porn, I will just block you. If your gallery consists of pics of your male member, immediate and automatic block.

Important: please be courteous at all times in your comments anywhere in this gallery. Anything I deem discourteous will be deleted immediately, and the poster will be blocked.

Okay, that's all out of the way.

nicely done, you have an eye for what the model is suppose to be relaying to the public. It makes you think, what are they thinking of at the time. I like it!+fav
